FOOD DRIVE

 

I am forwarding the article on “Eliminate Hunger for the Holidays” that Mrs. Patterson had in the Nov. 1 Brown Barker.  It gives the information about the food drive that we are having this week.

Brownsburg Cheer will not be able to provide support to any families this year.  As a frame of reference, Brownsburg Cheer typically provided support to 150 families in our community during the holidays in the past.  Connection Pointe Church has stepped in to help us provide support to many families during this critical time of need.  In a joint effort with Connection Pointe, BCSC schools will be hosting a food drive during the week of November 18-22 and a coin collection to purchase Christmas gifts during the week of December 2-6.  We are calling all of these drives: Eliminate Hunger for the Holidays.  We appreciate your help in supporting these efforts as we work together to ensure all of our students have a bright holiday season.

 

During the food drive, we will be collecting:

 

Tuna Packets	Single-Serving Oatmeal Packets	Breakfast Bars
Mac & Cheese	Chef Boyardee Canned Meals	Pudding Cups
Cup O' Soup	Ramen Noodles	Soup Starters
Pasta	Individual Fruit Cups (metal cans only)

**Please, NO GLASS JARS**

 

The coin drive will be a competition between boys vs. girls.  The winning gender will win a free morning snack day.  Please encourage your children to begin saving their loose change for this great cause.
