Book Swap and Character Dress-Up

The Book Swap & Character Dress Up Day
The Media Center will be hosting a school-wide used book swap. On Thursday,
April 18th and Friday, April 19th, students may bring in up to 3 books that they
would like to exchange. For each book brought in, students will earn one “book buck”,
for a maximum of 3. The swap will then take place during the student’s Media Center
visit the week of April 22nd, at which time students will redeem their “book bucks.”
Books brought in for the swap should be gently used and age-appropriate. It is preferable that books to be
exchanged are on the student’s reading level. For example, older students are encouraged to bring in chapter
books—this way there will be a wide selection to choose from. Chapter books are in high demand! The Media
Center is also accepting additional donations of gently used books that can be used for the book swap.
Donated books will be added to the book swap, so that there is a greater selection to choose from.
Book Character Dress-Up Day
Brown students and staff are encouraged to dress up as their favorite book character on Friday, April 19th.
Character costumes can be from any children’s book!
