Time line Project

Please look for or ask your student for the half-sheet of orange paper today. It is information about the time line we will be working on in class but we need some help from you. I'm copying the note in case it just doesn't make it home to you.

2nd Grade Time Line Project

After studying time lines for Johnny Appleseed, Martin Luther King Jr., and others, your child is going to make a time line of his/her own life. But, we need your help for this project!

Each student will create a time line of 10 important events in his/her life (birth, lost first tooth, took first steps, started kindergarten- first-second grade, etc.).  For this project, your child will need:

Þ 10 pictures (the picture can be a photo of the event, an illustration done by the student of the event, a computer image of the place (i.e. Disney World), etc.) Each picture will need to be dated.

Þ Please be sure your child knows enough about each picture to be able to write a short description of what is happening for the timeline (this will be done in class).

Þ a poster board-should be at least 22 X 28 and can be any color. 

 Gather and send in all materials on or before Tuesday, Jan. 22nd. If you have questions please let me know.
