A note from Krystal Shirrell: Collectively, you all donated 1,481 items. That is
incredible for only a week's time! I shipped 168
pounds of food/other items in 7 large boxes to Walter Reed. I
cannot wait to get there and see the impact on the patients!
And now, for the part you have all been waiting
for... An average of LESS THAN 1 ITEM per student separated the top 4
classes. However, the winner is Julie Creech and Justin Pelly's period 3-4 class at
the high school. This class will receive a pizza party sometime next
week or the last week of school - I will be in touch next week when I
return from Washington.
Since the other top classes did such a great job and the
totals were so close, I will provide a cookie snack for each of them as
well. These classes are Kristina Gipson at White Lick; Mary Kintner
and Ellen McKenzie at Brown.
