Poetry Unit

We'll be wrapping up our poetry unit in the next couple of weeks. The students have been working really hard and writing some awesome poetry-congrats to those students whose poem will be published in the "2011 Young American Poetry Digest". We have typed some of the poems and others will be handwritten and then compiled into a poetry book. Each student will make his/her own book and the week of ISTEP is when we'll be decorating them. I have mentioned to the kids that they can bring in any scrapbooking supplies they wish to make their books special to them. If they bring in supplies to share that is great too. I'll have some things, but they love to bring in things that are unique to them. They are also welcome to bring in a picture to put on their dedication page.
