2nd Semester Book Club

Katie is excited to get another book club under way. Tomorrow (Feb. 5) is supposed to be the first meeting of the club BUT I'm not sure what the weather is going to bring us. Plan on the next 6 Wednesdays being book club days from 3:15-4:00.

Data Folders and Assignment Notebooks

Data Folders went home Friday. Your child and I have reviewed their data, discussed their growth and maybe areas of improvement. I hope they'll share all the information with you. Please keep the loose papers inside the folder but sign, date, and return the folder on Tuesday.

You also may have noticed that students did not write in their assignment notebooks on Friday. This will become the standard for the remainder of the year unless we have something going on the following Monday that requires a reminder.

Welcome Back

With the beginning of 2^nd semester comes a transition from weekly reading logs to just the monthly reading log. I told the students about this today so they’ll no longer bring home a log every Monday. The monthly one that went home before break is due back Feb. 3.

Polar Express and Winter Party

I want to take a minute to thank each and everyone of you for what you contribute to our classroom. Whether that is sending in donations, volunteering in the classroom, helping me from home, or having lunch with your child (because that makes his/her day!) I appreciate all you can and do to make this year successful!
We had so much support for Polar Express that some parents may have been a little bored~I'm sorry for that but thanks for all your help.
Our Christmas party was also a big success, thank you Faith for planning a good time and awesome food:)
