We Appreciate Our Service Men and Women!

Our second graders made cards to accompany the Holiday bags we made for the Navy. They put a lot of thought and love into the cards!

Navy Donation Finale!

Thank you one and all for the donations. We finished packing the bags today. Some students even volunteered to stay in during recess to help us finish the job! What an awesome bunch of students we have:)

Veterans Day Request

I would love to have my students write thank you letters to Veterans for Veteran's Day. Do you know a veteran that our students can write to? If we get enough names, we can ask the other 2nd grade classes to join us. The more Veterans that get letters the better! I would also need to know if the letter can be hand delivered to the Veteran or if it needs to be mailed. If it needs to be mailed please provide us with an address.

Please email me by Wednesday, November 6th if you have a Veteran in mind that would like to get a letter from a 2nd grader! Also include the address if we need to mail it.

WE HAVE WORMS!!

With the help of the Hendricks County Solid Waste Management Company, we have red worms in our classroom. We touched, held, and observed the little buggers and now we'll watch as they begin to make compost for us.

Parent Teacher Conferences

I am so grateful that I could meet/talk with every one of you this week. It truly shows a commitment to your child's education and I know that when we form a partnership (to include your child), we can make great things happen!

Have an awesome break!

Parent Teacher Conferences, Navy donations

Reminders for conferences went home last Friday with your day and time. If you cannot attend, please email me and we'll set up a time to meet if possible.

If you are able to help with our Navy project, please send in items from the list your child took home. Also, I checked to see if microwave popcorn is allowed and it is!!

Have a great week everyone!
